Invest NI Leadership Programme

Managing Director Rory Mulvaney is demonstrating that continuous development is a real commitment at Vantru as he recently participated in Invest NI’s Leader Programme, an initiative designed to strengthen leadership capability, strategic thinking and organisational growth through executive education, business coaching and peer networking.

The programme supports business leaders in developing the skills needed to build high-performing organisations, nurture talent and create cultures where people can thrive. For Rory, the experience reflects Vantru’s ongoing focus on investing in people and creating an environment that encourages learning, development and well-being at every level of the business.

As part of the programme, Rory recently attended a Top Team Session at Lagan Valley, Lisburn, alongside Vantru Director Laura McCloskey and Associate Director Deirdre Lyle. The session was facilitated by Cora Robinson, CEO of Create. Express, a global leadership development consultancy.

A key focus of the event was understanding stress behaviours, strengthening team dynamics and developing practical approaches to supporting colleagues while working towards shared business objectives. The session reinforced the importance of self-awareness, resilience and well-being as foundations for effective leadership and sustainable performance.

Reflecting on the experience, Rory said:

The opportunity to learn from Cora and collaborate with fellow business leaders through Invest NI’s Leader Programme has been incredibly valuable. The insights gained during the Top Team Session have provided practical tools that will strengthen how we lead, support our people and continue to grow as a business.

I strongly believe in lifelong learning and leading by example. By continuing to develop my own leadership capabilities, I can better support our management team, empower our colleagues and ultimately enhance the service we deliver to our clients.

The programme aligns closely with Vantru’s people-first culture, where professional growth, collaboration and well-being are viewed as essential drivers of long-term success. With a talented team comprising experienced professionals and emerging graduates, the company continues to invest in creating opportunities for development across all levels of the organisation.

The knowledge and practical strategies gained through the Invest NI Leader Programme will now be shared more widely across Vantru, helping to strengthen leadership, support employee well-being and further enhance the corporate services delivered to clients across Ireland, the UK and the Netherlands.

Vantru thanks Invest NI and Cora Robinson for delivering such an engaging and impactful session, and looks forward to implementing these newly enhanced skills as the business continues its growth journey.
